Perth is currently hosting The Gathering of the Drams in various venues around the city. The event is a seven month long celebration of all things whisky, from learning about its history and production, to tours and tasting. There’ll also be trips to renowned distilleries, and some whisky cocktail master-classes to choose from. The best thing is that you don’t even need to watch your limits as Sleigh will be on hand to convey you safely home. The Gathering of the Drams ends on December 1st, so make November a month for scotch!
For those of you who love a good mystery, Glasgow’s Theatre Royal is hosting a fantastic production of Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee. Presented by the Official Agatha Christie Theatre Company and featuring Robert Powell as Hercule Poirot, it’s sure to be a real treat. The play is on stage between the 3rd and the 8th of November – contact the Theatre Royal for tickets and queries.
The town of Dunfermline always looks lovely in the winter time, especially with a covering of snow (as you can see from the beautiful photo of the Abbey on your right). On November the 22nd, however, the town comes alive with its annual Winter Festival. The main streets will be packed with festivities, including live music, magicians, craft stalls storytelling and local delicacies all while Santa and his helpers make their way up the high street with their parade. A lively atmosphere, fantastic local food and drink and an enormous array of activities await you. It’s the perfect place for a spot of Christmas shopping too! And don’t miss the big Christmas lights switch on at 5pm!
