Andy Murray to Open Country House Hotel

US Open and Olympic tennis champion, Andy Murray recently bought CROMLIX HOUSE HOTEL, the venue for his brother’s wedding to Alejandra Gutierrez. The former 4 star country house hotel will undergo an extensive refurbishment before re-opening next spring in time for the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles, just 13 miles away.

Cromlix House has its own chapel and trout loch and 50 acres of grounds. The hotel will also be home to a Chez Roux branded restaurant, offering fine dining and using local produce.

Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI) will manage the hotel for the local hero who says “I’m pleased to be able to give something back to the community I grew up in.”

Norbert Lieder, ICMI’s managing director said “We are delighted to be working with Andy in the very exciting project to redevelop and run Cromlix House.”
