Lake of Menteith Hotel and Waterfront Restaurant

Had lunch at the Lake of Menteith Hotel and Waterfront Restaurant on Saturday and am happy to recommend it to you if you happen to be in the area.

We have a coach tour of about twenty Americans, coming over here in June, who are looking for somewhere nice for lunch and to have a wee break in their sightseeing and feel very confident they will love it here.

As the quote from Ian Fleming on their website says, this is a hotel entirely in sympathy with its surroundings, and what surroundings they are! Inside the Trossachs National Park, only an hour from Glasgow or Edinburgh, the hotel nestles peacefully on the lakeside.

On the hotel’s own admission the menu is quite small but as we all know quality is more important than quality and quality was a plenty! They are committed to using the best of local produce to complement the natural surroundings.

The Hotel has a sister in Maryland USA which also enjoys a unique waterfront setting.
